PT KBI is a part of the Danareksa Holding with 499.999 series B shares owned by PT Danareksa (Persero) and 1 series A (Dwiwarna) owned by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).
Founded in August 25, 1984 the company was named PT Kliring dan Jaminan Bursa Komoditi (KJBK) (Persero) and the business revolves around services about registering the physical commodity market for rubber, coffee and textile.
On June 18, 2001, the company name changed to PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (Persero) or better known as PT KBI (Persero), in accordance with the approval of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia No.C-02157ht.01.04.2001.
According to letter No.01/VII/2000 in July 14, 2000, PT KBI gained temporary business license for the operation of the Futures Clearing House. On December 15, 2000, it is confirmed that PT KBI will operate as a Futures Clearing House for clearing and guaranteeing CPO, Coffee and Olein future contracts.
