Strengthening Synergy and Digital Transformation, PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia Supports PBK Literacy Month

PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (PT KBI), a member of the Danareksa State-Owned Enterprise Holding, supports the annual event, PBK Literacy Month, organized by the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) of the Ministry of Trade in collaboration with the Indonesian Commodity Futures Trading Association (Aspebtindo) on Monday, August 5, in Bandung, West Java.

With the theme "PBK Transformation in the Digital Era," the PBK ecosystem, which includes Bappebti as the regulator, Jakarta Futures Exchange (JFX) as the Exchange, PT KBI as the clearing house, ASPEBTINDO as the association, Clearing Members, and supporting agencies, needs to keep pace with technological advancements and digitalization in trading. By strengthening synergy and transformation, PBK business lines can innovate and focus more on developing multilateral transactions, highlighting Indonesia's key commodities while maintaining bilateral transactions.

Budi Susanto, President Director of PT KBI, stated, "The PBK Literacy Month activities can serve as a medium to contribute to public literacy in this sector. The growth potential for PBK in Indonesia is still very significant. As public literacy increases, it is hoped that the PBK industry will continue to develop.”

Budi added, "With this activity, we can strengthen synergy among business actors in the PBK ecosystem. Thus, each player will have the same awareness and responsibility to commit to creating a healthier and more advanced industry. Ultimately, we can educate the public to be more cautious about risks and legal aspects, which are the foundation of secure PBK transactions. As of June 2024, the total PBK transactions recorded at PT KBI amount to 3,855,248.5 lots."
