Bank Muamalat and KBI Strengthen the Ecosystem of Digital Physical Gold Trading

PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk has entered into a collaboration with PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (KBI) to utilize banking services for transaction settlement. This partnership marks a breakthrough and reflects Bank Muamalat’s commitment to delivering simple, convenient, and innovative transaction solutions for its customers.

President Director of PT KBI, Budi Susanto, stated that this collaboration completes the ecosystem of Digital Physical Gold Trading by fostering synergy between a clearing institution and a sharia financial institution. “We believe this partnership promotes inclusive and sustainable collaboration,” he said.

As Indonesia’s first purely sharia bank, Bank Muamalat facilitates fund transactions on behalf of KBI and its clearing members to support the settlement of commodity futures transactions—specifically for digital physical gold traders. Bank Muamalat executes payments for KBI transaction settlements through both non-electronic and electronic channels, including the Muamalat Digital Integrated Access (Madina) platform.
