On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the TJSL Team together with Mr. Saidu Solihin, Director of Business Development and Operations of PT KBI left for Garut, West Java to attend coffee plant reforestation activities.
Coffee is one of 27 Commodities that can be traded and stored in Warehouse Receipts based on the rules of the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency. Coffee is not only famous as an icon for young people, but coffee is also a form of community and regional empowerment, especially in West Java.
This reforestation activity began with the planting of the first beans at Mount Patrol, the foot of Mount Thunder, Garut Regency. To reach the location, the farmers and the TJSL team needed to climb for 2 hours with an altitude of 1,500 meters above sea level. The support provided by PT KBI is a form of enthusiasm in cultivating commodities, and highlights the interrelated issues of biodiversity, indigenous culture, and sustainability. As a priority program by the Ministry of BUMN and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, PT KBI is committed to run sustainable programs that uphold the welfare of farmers.
