KBI Strengthens Warehouse Receipt Ecosystem Through Financing and Digital System Synergy

PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia ("PT KBI"), part of the state-owned holding company Danareksa, has affirmed its commitment as the first Warehouse Receipt Registration Center ("PusReg") in Indonesia by initiating the signing of a synergistic collaboration agreement to accelerate the Warehouse Receipt Ecosystem. This initiative represents KBI's concrete steps to strengthen integration and create added value within the national warehouse receipt ecosystem, while simultaneously opening broader access for farmers, fishermen, and businesses to utilize the warehouse receipt system through superior warehouse receipt commodities in their respective regions.

This collaboration involves PT Dana Aguna Nusantara ("Danamart"), which focuses on the use of the Nextgen Information System Warehouse Receipt (Is-Ware) to finance the Warehouse Receipt ecosystem.

In addition, KBI has also collaborated with PT Kliring Perdagangan Berjangka Indonesia ("KPBI"), a subsidiary of KBI, PT Karya Jasa Internasional and PT Scash Global Indonesia, as well as the Association of Village Business Actors throughout Indonesia ("Apudsi"), and PT Daya Teknologi Nusantara for the Utilization and Development of the Warehouse Receipt System.

Saidu Solihin, Director of Business Development and Operations at PT KBI, stated that this synergy is part of PT KBI's strategic move to encourage multi-stakeholder integration to strengthen the role of the Regional Development Center (Pusreg) in the warehouse receipt ecosystem and accelerate national commodity growth.

"This collaboration is not simply a collaboration between multi-sector companies, but a concrete manifestation of our efforts to provide integrated solutions for commodity businesses. Through the development of the IS-Ware system, along with financing and association support, we want to ensure that the warehouse receipt system can provide direct benefits to farmers, fishermen, and SMEs in various regions," Saidu said.

For information, the WRS is an instrument that plays a strategic role in supporting supply security, distribution efficiency, and commodity financing. The Warehouse Receipt System (SRG) is regulated by Law Number 9 of 2006 concerning the Warehouse Receipt System, which has been updated to be more adaptive to trade dynamics and business needs.

The Commodity Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti) as regulator demonstrates the government's presence in fostering, regulating, and supervising activities related to the Warehouse Receipt System.

PT KBI, with its strong synergy between regulators and business actors, will strengthen this synergy, opening up more inclusive, efficient, and sustainable access.
